Justin is an international stage and costume designer whose work moves fluidly across theatre, opera, ballet, television, exhibition design, and live music. His designs are driven by a deep belief in storytelling through space, texture, and atmosphere, creating worlds that support performers while captivating audiences.


At the heart of Justin’s practice is a collaborative and intuitive approach, shaped by a respect for traditional craftsmanship and enriched by contemporary technologies. Whether working on an intimate production or a large-scale international project, he approaches each commission with the same commitment to artistic integrity, clarity of vision, and excellence in delivery.


Justin trained at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan, where he developed a strong visual and conceptual foundation. He began his professional career working internationally with the historic Atelier Carlo Colla & Figli before relocating to London, where he became associate designer to Richard Hudson and went on to collaborate with many of the industry’s leading designers and creative teams.


His work includes world premieres such as What It Means at Wilton’s Music Hall in London; La Tragédie de Carmen(Italian adaptation) for Operaoggi; Cyberiada for the Wielki Theatre in Poznań and Warsaw; Maria di Venosa at the Festival della Valle d’Itria in Martina Franca; and the ballets Carmen and Romeo & Juliet for the François Mauduit Dance Company.


Justin’s designs have been recognised internationally. He received the Jan Kiepura Theatre Award for Best Design for Cyberiada. The same creative team was also awarded again Best Opera for the double bill L’Enfant et les Sortilèges / Le Rossignol, produced by the Wielki Theatre Poznań. 

His work for the BBC EastEnders spin-off SPIKED received a TellyCast Digital Video Award.


Alongside his independent design work, Justin is a worldwide Assistant Scenic Designer on Disney’s The Lion King and a recurring designer on the BBC flagship show EastEnders, continuing to bridge large-scale global productions with distinctive, story-l ed design.
